THE PEACE PROJECT:
As you all well know, the escalating tide of violence in the streets of Seattle has senselessly swept up far too many lives in the last few months. This sickening loss of life has shaken our community to the core, and many are striving to find solutions in the face of the seemingly never-ending series of young people being murdered in the CD and South End. The Peace Project hopes to spread a real message of change, hope, and love through the transformative power of music; and even more directly, to benefit the families of Joseph “29-E” Ryan and Tyrone Love- two members of the close-knit local music community who’s lives were taken in recent months.
