"Me & You" - Gabriel Teodros feat. Silver Shadow D :: FREE DOWNLOAD

Me and my big brother Silv did this track for the upcoming 206 Zulu compilation... but the subject matter is so urgent i wanted to give it away now. This is for my students at Southlake who told me near the last day of school that "Summertime is War Time" I'm still praying for all of us to make it throo this summer. Southend, Central District, Westside... we are all sides on one side.

East African Hip Hop In Seattle! :: VIDEO & Review

So just this last Tuesday, March 10 2009... i had the honor of performing with K'Naan, Yze & DJ Daps1 over at Neumos. My first time performing with K'Naan (although we spoke on a lil panel together years ago) and this was also his first headlining show in Seattle. Sold the venue out in advance! probably could of done multiple nights. i think the crowd was a majority East African youth. i still get high thinking about it. one of the most beautiful nights i've ever had involving Hip Hop music. Scott Macklin did this blog-umentary about the evening... check it out! Here's Jonathan Cunningham's review of the show too... check him out in the Seattle Weekly! oh and Jonathan's been doing some consistent quality music coverage ever since he got to the Seattle Weekly... check for all this man's articles! for real. and finally, if you haven't copped that Troubadour album yet... stop sleeping!

THE PEACE PROJECT:
As you all well know, the escalating tide of violence in the streets of Seattle has senselessly swept up far too many lives in the last few months. This sickening loss of life has shaken our community to the core, and many are striving to find solutions in the face of the seemingly never-ending series of young people being murdered in the CD and South End. The Peace Project hopes to spread a real message of change, hope, and love through the transformative power of music; and even more directly, to benefit the families of Joseph “29-E” Ryan and Tyrone Love- two members of the close-knit local music community who’s lives were taken in recent months. Please show your support and solidarity with The Peace Project with your donations, your presence, and most of all, your heart.
